to Honokaa NOTICE TO MOTORISTS PACIFIC PROJECT LIMITS (MILE POST 15.3) OCEAN OLD MAMÁLAHOA HIGHWAY HAKALAU STREAM BRIDGE HAKALAU BEACH PARK HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) to Hilo CHIN CHUCK Hawaii Belt Road Hakalau Stream Bridge Rehabilitation Bent 8 Scour Repair The State Department of Transportation (HDOT) Highways will begin improvements on Highway 19, Mile Post 15.3. Work in this area involves scour repair for Hakalau Bridge. Construction will begin on September 25, 2025 and work hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for a 4-month period. Travel speed through the work area will be reduced, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Please use caution and plan for longer driving times when traveling through the area.
