Our story began in Honolulu in 1929 when a small independent business that promised world-class service grew into what you see today — Hawaii’s largest insurance agency. What sets us apart are our long-standing roots in the community. Hawaii is our home. It is where we live, where we raise our families, and where we work.
Our founder, Honolulu businessman Masayuki Tokioka, began working with partners to put together a locally financed hui to serve Hawaii’s expanding immigrant population. He built the business on the cornerstones of integrity, transparency, relationships and unparalleled broker expertise.
Today we employ more than 100 world-class specialists in risk management, employee benefits consulting, construction, surety, AOAO, property and casualty, claims management and personal insurance.
Atlas also has global strategic partnerships from London and Germany to Korea, Japan and beyond. Our main office in Honolulu has convenient branches that span the state: in Kahului, Maui; Lihue, Kauai; Honoka‘a, Hilo and Kona on Hawaii island.
